Turf and Synthetic Grass

Start at the grassroots of your outdoor project & understand if natural turf or synthetic grass is the right decision for your outdoor space.

Even though turf and grass are used interchangeably, there are some differences between the two.

Natural Turf is a great option if you have a limited budget and want something that will last the test of time (if maintained properly). The key with this option is sticking to a maintenance routine to ensure you don’t need to replace it. Our team can incorporate automated watering systems that can apply irrigation to your lawn without the need for any effort. There are a number of varieties that can be used such as Sir Walter Buffalo, Kikuyu, Couch and Tall Fescue.

This option is ideal if:

  • You use gardening to relax
  • Your lawn gets a lot of sun
  • You want to better quality air
  • You feel the heat (environmental heating is reduced by natural turf)

Synthetic Grass is a great option if you quickly want something that looks good in your yard that requires low maintenance. Although it is more expensive, you will save money on water and energy bills in the future. This is a durable surface – lasting the weather elements of Melbourne.

This option is ideal for:

  • Children’s playgrounds
  • Backyard play areas
  • Doggie day care facilities

DJ Landscapes are experts in laying either option, so our team can help you make the right decision for your outdoor space.
